DOG TRAINING JOBS

Apprentice/ Kennel Technician

This is a dual role, approx. 10 hours are an unpaid Apprenticeship, you are working for knowledge & experience. Approx. 10 hours are as a Kennel Technician at $15/hr. This is a 1099 position for the first 3-6 months of employment and will transition into a W-2 position with promotion to Novice Trainer. (The goal of Apprenticeship: To transition you to a Novice Trainer position with By The Dog).

 ·         Pay is $15/hr | 50% working hours are paid, 50% working hours are apprenticeship

·         8-30 Hrs/ wk – starting

·         Experience: No prior experience required; an entry-level position.

·         Goal: Develop foundational knowledge and skills through hands-on training and observation to allow for transition to a Novice Dog Trainer position

·         Supervision: Works directly with Owner/ Head Trainer.

·         1099 position for 3-6 months, based on growth.

·         Must be able to reliably commute to or live in/ are planning to relocate to Casa Grande, AZ

Novice Dog Trainer

This is a 1099 position for the first 3-12 months of employment and will transition into a W-2 position with promotion to Junior Trainer. (The goal of a Novice Trainer: To transition you to a Junior Trainer position with By The Dog).

*No dogs will be required to go home with novice trainers.

·         Pay is $15-18/hr, Based on Experience and Execution

·         8 -20 Hrs/ wk – starting

·         Experience: Minimal experience; an entry-level position, you may have completed an apprenticeship or introductory training program.

·         Goal: Gain experience handling clients and dogs both in a supportive role and independently for puppy and basic training.

Supervision Level: Moderate-High; Operates with some independence but under the oversight of Owner/ Head Trainer.

·         1099 position for 3-12 months, based on growth and execution. This will transition into a W-2 position with promotion to Junior Trainer.

·         Must be able to reliably commute to or live in/ are planning to relocate to Casa Grande, AZ.

Junior Dog Trainer

This position is for an experienced dog trainer who desires a full schedule. If you have great people skills, know how to speak confidently with others, have skill and compassion when working dogs and a passion for growth we want YOU. This role will be hitting the ground running immediately after the onboarding period.

*No dogs will be required to go home with lessons trainers. Board and trains will max out at 3 dogs at a time.

·         Starting Pay is $18-25/ hour for Lessons (Additional Commissions for sales may be earned) Based on Experience and Execution

·         4 - 15 lessons/ week starting

·         Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on training experience

·         Supervision Level: Low to moderate; operates with some independence but under the oversight of Owner/ Head Trainer.

·         This is a 1099 position for the first 3-6 months of employment and will transition into a W-2 position after the probationary 1099 period.

·         Must be able to reliably commute to or live in/ are planning to relocate to Casa Grande, AZ

 Senior Dog Trainer

This position is for an experienced dog trainer who desires a full schedule. If you have great people skills, know how to speak confidently with others, have skill and compassion when working dogs and a passion for growth we want YOU. This role will be hitting the ground running immediately after the onboarding period.

*No dogs will be required to go home with lessons trainers. Board and trains will max out at 3 dogs at a time.

·         Starting Pay is $23-50/ hour for Lessons (Additional Commissions for sales may be earned) Based on Experience and Execution

·         4 - 15 lessons/ week starting

·         Experience: 3-5+ years of professional dog training and handling experience

·         Goal: Maintain a high standard of training and contribute to the overall growth of the training team.

·         Supervision Level: Minimal; operates autonomously. Reports directly to Owner/ Head Trainer.

·         This is a 1099 position for the first 3-6 months of employment and will transition into a W-2 position after the probationary 1099 period.
